At 51,000 feet one can begin to discern the curvature of our planet’s surface . From far left to far right you can see 650 miles . The sky is deep blue and the air is still . And so it was 4 years ago as I commanded a Gulfstream Five from Los Angeles to London . 5000 miles on a Great Circle route . Nine hours . A presence . A muffled awareness . A bright ball of light . First on port side . My side . Next straight ahead . Next starboard side . Effortless . Zooming ahead and out of sight . At 70 degrees North Latitude . WE are being watched . Anybody else ?

I’m reasonably certain that they are not with us. I would love to believe it is possible, but traveling faster than the speed of light and/or time travel is highly, highly improbable. Therefore it would take hundreds if not thousands of years to travel from even the nearest planetary system. Don’t get me wrong, I’m certain that there is intelligent life elsewhere in the universe, I just don’t think they have come here. We have all seen a lot of photo and video documentation that is not explainable. There are things that are kept from us. I just don’t think they are from another planetary system. A much more plausible explanation is that there was advanced intelligent life on earth millions of years ago that perished in some way. Some survived and they are hidden. That is much, much more likely than intelligent life traveling 1000 years and hundreds of generations across space to come to our planet to explore it.
