This is a blog of few words because I can’t find the words.

Pittsburgh, New Zealand, Poway. And that’s the short list.

Are we growing numb to ever burgeoning evidence of unabashed hatred? Does this list really need to continue to grow? Must houses of worship create armed barriers so that their congregants can worship without fear of facing a gunman?

Really, no words.

Sorry to say the list will continue because tne world has sick people everywhere. Condolences to family of the deceased and those affected. Thank you to border patrol who courageously stepped in.

The hatred isn't new, the encouragement of the expression of hatred is what needs to be stopped. I am not saying people don't have a right to say hateful and stupid things; they do have that right unless it is designed to incite violence. I am saying that when people stand by and don't call out the speaker of hate, violence is to be expected. We have the power of the purse, we have the power of social media and we have the power of the ballot when it comes to using our voices to say we reject hateful speech and those who condone it as a "right." No freedom to pray, to study, to shop? Really? Nothing worse!

There is such division and hatred...

The New York State Bar Association has put together a task force to address the issue of assault weapons and mass shootings. Along with several Gotham members I am a member of the task force which is comprised of members with varied backgrounds —some gun owners, some who have never touched a gun. Hopefully what we have been putting together will have an impact on future policies, Legislation, and movement. Something needs to be done.

Listening to their rabbi speak, and the woman who stepped in and gave her life to save him, brought me to tears. Thank God for the veteran and border patrol man who risked their lives to stop that sick individual. As much hatred as there is in the world, there is still love and heroism and hope.

And from what I understand the Rabbi encouraged the officers to make sure they were armed when in attendance .

It’s about the Rule of Law . The steady erosion of such and the justice system that allows it to continue . Somehow playing hardball doesn’t apply to the bench . The liberal jurists are looking towards leniency rather than Frontier Justice . Bring back the Hanging Judges .

You never know if more can be done to prevent or mitigate risks of these tragic occurrences
and I'll shy away from politics in this forum but it remains so important that potential targets run risk assessments. I sent Nancy info from FBI and NYPD I received earlier today. Can forward to anyone interested.
Mitch Tobol

This is not the result of the erosion of the justice system as some would think. Hate is viral now.
