We’ve had some pretty severe lottery fever in recent months. The jackpots are so big that even I have started playing on occasion. Yes, I know that the system was changed so that my chances of winning are even that much smaller but it’s kind of fun to follow the numbers from time to time.

But did you ever play the fantasy game that goes like this – so what will I do the day after I win my multi million dollar jackpot? And the day after that.

I haven’t completely answered that question for myself. I do think that I won’t come to work the next day. But after that, I’ve become pretty convinced that I don’t think my day to day life would change all that much.

I plan the renovations to my house, although I don’t think I’d move. Yes, I’d like one nice car. A month long vacation somewhere warm would definitely be in my future. And of course, a plan for some charitable giving would be in the works. But past that, I think I would come back to work and go about my business – albeit perhaps with some more flexibility.
