The chair

After the fundraiser alluded to in a brief sidebar in in last week’s blog, Shelly posted a pic to Facebook with a caption, that included the phrase, “Chairman of the Board.”

So that weekend, no surprise she ordered this “Chair” a new chair for when I set up shop at the dining room table.

The new seat

Chair

arrived during the week (Assembly required – another story which may or may not find its way into a blog or post.).

For those interested, this fundraiser mentioned above raised more funds than any other before, a great success that mostly reflect the hard work of the staff of SNAP; I shared some aspects of it with friends involved in other charitable work whose company we enjoyed for dinner this past evening; it impressed.

I enjoy the special chair, rather comfy.

Another reason to celebrate today.

Which explains why this blog ends with my fave Poco tune live from my alma mater, and audio from a 1978 show I attended at My Father's Place where I look forward 40 years later to seeing the same artist in 18 days.

Dashow mentioned My Father’s Place being in Hempstead

Ken must have confused it with Calderone Theatre or the WLIR studios. Obviously TONH before and after.

Congratulations, as a board member of two not for profit organizations I know how difficult a task that was. Enjoy your chair.

And I look forward to sitting in a chair, any chair, next to you on 10/25 when you revisit MFP !
