Scattered on the grill , smothered with onions and covered with melted cheese in this case . I'll order the pork chop and eggs with a double order of home fries . Scattered and covered only . We'll drop our bags at the hotel and walk in the rain to the Waffle House . The bright yellow and black signature . As dependable as the sun coming up in the east . Two hungry pilots KNEW exactly what to order and where to go ten miles on final approach in a driving rain storm . Don't get any better ! A constant beacon . Old school . Perfect .

Love Waffle House when traveling south. Wife not so much as most are fairly dirty and they cook right in front where you can what goes on. We have witnessed a lot of unsanitary acts from sneezing to dropped silverware reused to no gloves and handling food after picking up dirty plates. But as I said, it still tastes great and is almost always open. Waffles at 2:00am. Yum.
