I’m just about ready for a new book. My house is about to slow down and I’m itching for a few minutes to sit outside with a good book and a glass of (sweet) wine.

My last good read was the Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane. I like historical fiction and biographies, or really just well written stories.

Can you share your favorite book with me and why? My Kindle is asking for a download.

There's always, "The Public Ought To Know."

"For What's It's Worth," the Story of Buffalo Springfield just for the many twists and turns of how this group fell together. It really ought to be a movie.

City of Thieves by David Benioff is a great book!
Cayce Crown

I think you'd love the Maisie Dobbs series by Jacqueline Winspear. She is a psychologist and investigator, starts in Great Britain prior to WWI and moves forward. Highly recommend. and Alexander McCall Smith's No. 1 Ladies's Detective Agency with Precious Ramotswe as the main character and also a detective. A brilliant series. Takes place in Botswana. Strong women make great stories.
Lynda Feld

The Windfall by Diksha Basu. About a middle aged couple in Delhi who are able to upgrade their lifestyles after coming into $. Difficult transition to keeping up with the Joneses. Book is written with humor and characters are well developed. Really enjoyed this book by a first-time author.

The Outlander series is great summer reading. I've also been working my way through the Great American Read. https://www.pbs.org/the-great-american-read/books/#/

My favorite book of all time is The Handmaid's tale. I read it when it was first published in the 1980's and it remains as my favorite. And its amazingly relevant today.

I like the books by Kristin Hannah. Especially The Nightingale and more recently, The Great Alone.
