Butterfly

One of my favorite pastimes or hobbies is to take pictures/record images and my new IPhone 10 has the best camera ever available to me.

For instance, the other day I looked out the back door and observed vivid butterflies flitting through the flowers. I quickly grabbed my phone, ran out and clicked away.

The best of those clicks is above.  To me, a very very beautiful Monarch Butterfly image.  I hope you find it as striking as I do!

Gorgeous and they love phlox. Indeed we put as much around our garden as well in order to ensure that the monarchs come to visit Thank you for sharing

I have not been in a committed photographer since College days. It is luscious to see someone so committed to the visual image, especially if he happens to be one of New York's best attorneys.

I never heard of phlox before, but Joanne says they’re outside your house.

As the crow flies we are 7 miles from Natural Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz . The autumn home of the Monarch migration . They feed and congregate in a eucalyptus grove that provides shelter and warmth . It is a sight to behold . Many of them take the short flight up the hill to play in the redwood forest that I call home . Nature provides us with the quintessential beauty and reveals how fragile it is . They breed and then live only 2-6 weeks. They contrast the bright blue sky and the deep green trees with a montage of grace , vulnerability and beauty . Nature's palette at its finest . Never taken for granted . The Papillon . Thanks Fred . Who knew ? Right ?

Did you always like taking pictures? Or was your interest developed after cameras were put into cell phones? I love how cameras in cell phones have spurred budding photographers.
