I Can't Believe I am Saying This

My blog today was supposed to be about how much fun we all had together at our 11th Annual Golf Outing. Instead, we were rained out and so I cannot write that blog.

11 years ago when we started this outing, I mostly dreaded the idea. Don’t get me wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed the company (and the food) but my absolute and complete lack of any skill set related to golf made me feel, well, anxious. After a few years, however, I settled in and realized that the idea was to have fun irrespective of my vacant skill set.

When the outing was cancelled, I realized that I was actually disappointed. Wow. Things have really changed.

I have August 19 marked on my calendar in pen. I hope you will join me.

Any bad day at the golf course beats a good day at work.

If anyone is interested there is a golf teaching company called GolfTec which has changed my thinking about learning to be a better player. It uses a system of comparing what you are actually doing to what you're suppose to be doing. They do it in a way you can understand what adjustments you should make. And now instead of being a mediocre duffer, I've moved up to become a spectacular duffer. Okay so I've only taken a few strokes off my game, BUT now I THINK I'm Tiger.
