Worthy Words

We had the pleasure of seeing Audra McDonald in concert at Tanglewood with the Boston Pops. Great venue. Great concert.
When I listen to music that touches me, I usually come away with a lyric that stays. Mostly because the message is pertinent and special, although sometimes it is just an “ear worm”.
Since last Sunday, the lyrics of Jule Styne, Betty Comden and Adolph Green have been with me....

“Make someone happy,
Make just one someone happy,
And you will be happy too.”

In context, and standing on their own, the words are worthy.

agree on the lyrics. Funny that this appeared day after a concert I attended, Peter Frampton (reason I attended) opening for Steve Miller. The plan was to remain in City after Gotham NY Legal but needed to make a stop in Greenpoint and then back to "Grand Junction" (if the reference makes no sense, you'll just have to search through my blogs until you do get it.) before returning to Radio City. It was not even lyrics that grabbed but but the opening riffs, but lyrics start, "Who said it's my year? Was is you there? Can't go wrong!"

Audra is an angel so the fact that you remember those inspiring words does not surprise me. Watch her on "The Good Fight," for more inspiration.
