Do You Respond?

I’m noticing lately that I am receiving more and more email soliciting my business. These emails don’t read like spam necessarily. They are coherent and pointed descriptions of a service.

I don’t like these email solicitations. They clog my inbox and I am not likely to engage someone through such a “cold call” email but maybe I am missing something.

Have you ever done business with someone who “cold called” you through email?

no, never, but no harm in trying...

I generally don't get more than a line or two into these emails before deleting.

Once, from a RE Broker. He is now a friend and potential referral source.

I like to get calls from people who want to "partner" with us. I forward their calls to the president of the company so he can tell them it took him 6 and a half years to decide to marry his wife so he is hardly going to "partner" with someone he meets over the phone.

Oh Yeah., that wife is me.

In my line of work, I generally don't cold call via email. But I try if phoning doesn't work. Good to hear the responses here so can forward to upper management.

Sometimes it gives me a good idea for something but then I usually find a trusted source
