Monday Morning Repercussions

It’s that time of the year again, the day after the Super Bowl. Every year there’s debate about whether to make the day after the Super Bowl a national holiday since most people are sluggish the next day.

My husband and I host a Super Bowl party every year, so it is a very long night for us. Last year, I had a court hearing scheduled the next morning. While I made it through my hearing, I have to admit that it did take some extra caffeine to get me through. This year, I planned my schedule accordingly. I made sure that I didn’t schedule any court appearances for the day after. On Monday morning, I will happily be sitting at my desk, doing some much needed paperwork and drinking a lot of coffee. And, perhaps, sneaking in a power nap.

How are you feeling this morning?

Pretty good as I wanted Eagles (and Brady) to win.

I watched with volume off 'til into 4th Q. I watched for my boxes. I actually got up early and read all the early papers on line Did not think about it until now but my meeting today was 11 am in Manhattan and traffic was not bad -- perhaps because it was the D.A.

I watched the game and had no problem getting to the gym this morning and getting through the day. However, it's now 6:15pm after an unexpectedly stressful day and I'm feeling a little tired. I don't know if this is due to staying up to watch the game (and a couple episodes of a series we've started) or just the stress of the day.

Feeling just fine. Of course, I am in LA,w here everything was three hours "earlier," However, the euphoria over Philly victory and the expression on Tom Brady's face made for a very pleasant evening. Today is like any other work day, except that it is 78 and dry.

You know Rona , the thing is ..... I watch the NFL Usually by myself . Especially the Super Bowl . A party is a huge distraction . People yacking away about everything but the game . Walking in front of the TV . Stuff like that . It breaks my concentration . I'm trying to watch the way the defense is set up . The receiver's routes . Listen to Brady's hard counts trying to draw the defense off sides . Clam dip aside its all one big distraction . You see I have my own game plan . I call my own audables at the line of scrimmage . No time for a party and certainly no thirst for other than an Ice Cold Heinekin in the bottle or two . Head phones on . Dare not walk in front of the TV . Diane will go wine tasting . I'll stay alone . The way I like it !

My husband loves having the party. I think I would prefer to go wine tasting with your wife. :)
