Apparently in France people take their Nutella very seriously.

 

Nutella is something to fight for

 

Parisian's emotional connections to Nutella were on display when a French supermarket chain drastically cut the price of a 2 lb jar of Nutella on Thursday. This resulted in never before seen outbursts of violence between customers fighting to get their hands on the product.

 

“They are like animals. One woman had her hair pulled. An elderly lady took a box on her head. Another had a bloody hand,” reported a local paper.

 

Nutella’s producer, The Ferrero company, distanced itself from the sticky situation. This gives me ideas for a whole new marketing campaign. :-)

They could offer free boxing classes and tips on how to push your way through a crowd....

I prefer Franjeiica for my hazelnut fix. Even found a coffee variety i enjoyed just this morning.

Nutella is just the catalyst . The trigger in the equation. Humans are flawed. On the way to self destruction we eat our young along the way . I can’t think of another species that behaves in such a destructive manner. I eat Nutella by the spoon full . I hide the jar. Humans have lost their place in the grand plan .

Ferrero is an Italian company. Mitch, your campaign would give the brand a real punch (not that it needs it). We are a pugilistic society. Remember "I'd rather fight than switch" for Tareyton cigarettes. Very popular campaign featuring people with black eyes. :-)
