Resolutions

Categories

It's that time of year and whether or not they are followed through with, it is time to make New Year's resolutions.

In as much as this has been one of the best years of my life, my first resolution is to keep on keeping on.

Passing that, my primary resolution is to be more of a PR director for my wife Joanne's uniquely beautiful art.  An example is above. The little that I have done in this respect has borne fruit and is encouraging.

Then there are the usual pedestrian resolutions:  stay in shape, eat well, be a creative blogger and continue to rack up record numbers of comments.

Last, but not least, be kind, even tempered, family oriented and giving!

Life is too short to track resolutions. If we all do what' is internally right we should be better off.

I like them all, and especially the be kind part. My mother told me always to be kind. I do my best.

Best wishes in the new year. I keep resos private. But your reference made me recall lyrics to a song (and probably more than a few others) by Eric Clapton. This is from his first solo LP (but when I think of the lyrics in my head, its Bobby Whitlock shouting the phrase on Derek & the Dominos In Concert - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXGUUla-nSk at 7:17) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_IM9zUadqw

you did not specify which but I just copied and pasted both and they worked. Perhaps you did not realize the limitations of the comment box requires a copy and paste?

My wife Diane tells me I'm perfect all the time . She TELLS me that all the time not that I'm perfect all the time. She says it when she's upset with me . Which is most of the time . So there ain't much tweeking I have to do to do right by her standards . I'm no stranger to controversy . I can probably do better on that end . Like I confronted the loggers in the forest . Big Lumber , Big Pharma , Big Oil . Can you imagine cutting down a 200 year old redwood ? And then using part of my land to haul it out without asking ? My property , my Grenade Launcher , BACK UP THE EFFEN TRUCK MEN ! AND GET OFF MY EFFEN PROPERTY ! I said as the sheriff got out of his SUV . Joanne and Fred think I BLURT . That's a funny word in itself . Joanne doesn't think I'm perfect . I blurt . So I resolve in the New Year to quit blurting and win back Joanne's affection . I know I'm not such a bad guy . Dana and Cayce are speaking to me again . Rona is in my corner too ! I can't decide whether to make Fred or Corey 2017 Man of the Year or to create controversary once more maybe Erik Scheibe ? I think I'll go with Paul Napolitano . Non judgemental but on the money even though he called somebody a putz who is actually a putz ! Victoria has herself a real man ! OK . No blurting . Kindness . PATIENCE. That's the big one . PATIENCE ! Feeling blessed . The animals . Living right outside my window . Deer , Mt Lions , Bobcats , Screech Owels , Racoons . My dogs . Saved my life . My higher power who told me we needed to have a come to Jesus meeting and meant it . I'm rambling . Happy New Year Gotham . Thank you Fred for allowing me the privilege .

Sounds promising and we're willing to see what we shall see. I know that you're worth it. Good use of good names.
