We Are All of Us

There is always a little more hope in the first of the month.

A new beginning.

A fresh start.

I've started wearing a "mile 0" pin that I got in Key West (staying at the Klein Cottage!!) to remind me that all we have is this one moment in time. (cue Whitney Houston) Its nice to think that I'm always at mile zero and that mile zero is in paradise.

Today is a little more unique because it is All Saints Day. A religious holiday based on the belief that there is a powerful spiritual bond between those in heaven and the living.

All Saints Graves

I was raised Episcopalian and one of my favorite hymns was "I Sing A Song of the Saints of God," I was in the choir, and it was written for All Saints Day. The last few lines are:

"You can meet them in school, or
In lanes, or at sea,
In church, or in trains, or in shops, or at tea,
For the saints of God are just folk like me,
And I mean to be one too
."

Let's all be a tiny bit more saintly today.

"If you want to change the world, go home and love your family." - Mother Teresa

Fabulous! Going to light a candle today because the veil is thin and want to connect with my favorite Spirits that were once human.

Thank you, John Wagner.
Hope we meet in person before too long.

Light the candle, Sensational Sonia!
You are one of my favorite saints.
