Interaction

Categories
Entertainment Blogs

Two weeks ago my blog consisted of a list of my Dislikes, e.g., Judge strike outs.

My blogging concept is to encourage comments and then respond to them, i.e., interact with the audience and create a conversation.

This week I seek to double down on the interaction by publishing the reaction to my Dislikes by the readers.

The commenter Dislikes are as follows:

Paul Napolitano: Disingenuousness/phoniness

Judy Mauer: people disappointing me. Liars, cruelty, our president. Those are things I hate. Things I dislike – middle seat of an airplane, subway steps, extreme heat, insomnia, chronic pain.

Ben Geizhals: discourteous drivers

Daniel Schwartz: snoring

Cayce Crown: lists

Victoria Drogin: people who are unwilling to consider the validity of all the people's points of view

Sonia Saleh: focusing on dislikes brings more dislikes.  Focusing on likes brings more likes

Corey Bearak: people talking loudly at a concert disrespecting the performing artists I came to hear

Mitch Tobol: People not following the rules

Lonny Schwartz: Canadian geese

To give you the total interactive package, I replied to each of these comments but I'll save that for another time.

Cayce Crown

Focusing on dislikes is not at all productive for me, It's useful for me to be proactive not reactive. I don't always succeed.

I usually reply to these early in the morning only to find out that for some reason at the end of the week I've been logged out which means my response isn't going anywhere. I recall writing a lengthy response to your dislike blog and, being in a rush, meant I couldn't stop log back in, and rewrite. I really wish I could recall what I wrote because the blog really struck me. Once again as usual rushing but I'm curious to see the interactions.

That restaurant could have been on you Dislike list. :)

I didn't know you responded

Responding to a response. What a novel concept. Anything that stimulates thought regardless of content, is good in my book. Happy responding this Fine Fall Friday.

You should look later in the day. Thanks for commenting.

ha ha ha - I stand by my responses :)

I'm with Sonia on this. What we focus on comes to us, so focus on the good things - there are plenty of them.

So the new server installation dropped me off the bottom ? I had some good ones . But the comparisons are interesting . One man's meat is another man's poison . How can you eat that ? What's good for the goose ain't so good for the gander ?

Lists can be fun...sometimes. Especially when they provoke conversation. I actually have a # of different lists on my website. A blog maybe?
