To paraphrase a friend: Summer must leave in order to come back.

I'm with you Fred! Give me warmth and sunshine over cool crisp air any day. Although...autumn does lead to some great cuddle weather.

Victoria dislikes the summer equinox when the days start growing shorter. I like all four seasons, but fall is definitely my favorite.

There is an easy solution, move somewhere where it's summer everyday.

Instead of the aroma of Tan Bark on warm summer nights on Barberry Lane . Instead of the chocolate thick shake floats at Carvel . Instead of smelling the gum on the baseball cards . Instead of zinc oxide on my nose . We spent the summer immersed in stirring the damn political stew . Yeah we watched the Yankees but nothing seemed pure and innocent . Summer flew by consumed by Hillary, Donald , and Rocket Man . Summer became a nagging tooth ache rather than a respite from reality . The Haters hated . No summer recess from the worst behavior mankind could foster . That's where summer went . Right into the circular file . Yes I enjoyed my heirloom tomatoes and burrata salads. But with an edge . My sliced ribeye and Merlot . But with an edge . Mark Twain once said " the coldest winter he ever spent was a summer in San Francisco . Well .... For us Summer is just beginning. Sept- Oct is our summer as the marine layer recedes . October is my favorite month . Beach,baseball and the NFL. Yanks should make the post season . Time to pick the hops and turn off the news .

Summer still feels like it's here! No, I don't enjoy the darker days and the cold. But the leaves turning are beautiful - Mother nature at it's finest. Also provides a challenge for me as a photographer in 2 camera clubs on what to shoot inside when it's frigid outside.
