A Basic Question

Categories
Lifestyle

My household is comprised of six individuals; four are female and two are male. There is one debate that seems to be a constant argument in my house. We  discuss this issue, at least,  once a month and have never reached a consensus.  As one might expect we split right along gender lines.

So I have decided to throw this question out to the blogosphere. Perhaps Gotham can help  my family achieve harmony on this issue. The toilet seat, up or down? And, most importantly, why?

Until the last few years I left it up.

Down - Preventing the spread of germs (and aesthetics)

I think from the above comments, the question is not seat, but toilet cover...The seat down is the way to go as curtesy to the ladies. Cover we usually leave up.

Of course, down. Everyone uses it down, only 34% (in your house) use it up and only some of the time...
I am fortunate to live in an all female house, so not an issue.

If you are really looking for answers, all down, for many reasons, including aesthetics.
