Summer in the City
We all know the benefits of a reverse commute, well a creative variation is heading into the city from Long Island and away from the beaches and Hamptons in Summertime.
It is a little known fact that the city is "dead" in the long hot Summer-especially on Holiday weekends when residents escape to beat the heat.
Consequently, Joanne and I enjoyed 2 World Class museums over the 5 day July 4th weekend. We visited the Guggenheim and Whitney. There were no lines or crowds, just inspiring Art. It was so enjoyable and enriching.
Please keep this great secret within the Tribe!

such a great Idea. I've been following you on facebook with your museum journeys.
Tons of amazing stuff to see and do in this great city of ours. And so happy for you - that you don't go through Penn Station to get home...in this Summer of Hell - according to our governor :(

The New-York Historical Society is an American history museum and library located in New York City at the corner of 77th Street and Central Park West in Manhattan, founded in 1804 as New York's first museum. This museum is about New York City as a city, it's relationship to the State and to the Country. Take the one hour guided tour - wonderful.
