It's all about the wind

As you may know I like to drive fast and have gotten tickets in the past. (not anymore though:) I thought I new every excuse but this one takes the cake.

 

Deep in Western Australia a driver was caught speeding. Not unusual given the stretches of road, but he told police it was the wind’s fault. After the officer stopped laughing he wrote out a ticket and actually put the reason for speeding as ‘the wind was pushing me’.

 

The police department Tweeted this with a copy of the citation (see photo) and has gotten quite a response. One Twitter user tweeted 'That is pretty fast for a sailing boat with wheels.’

 

I'd say he should have his points reduced for creativity :)

I like that the cop enjoyed the creativity and extended it to the ticket. Bet it made a lot of people chuckle.
