Happy New Year and Ring It In with some great songs.

Shelly and I wish everyone all the best as we approach the moment we ring in new year 2017.

And what better way than an updated list of “Songs To Ring In The New Year.”

I hope folks enjoyed my “Happy Holidays in song” playlist which I blogged about last Sunday.

Readers of that blog (comments still welcome) already know Gotham City Networking, Inc.® co-founder Fred Klein, knowing my love of music, encouraged me to compile and share on our Fredslist listserve a list of holiday songs. Well one list begat another. As an irregular blogger until earlier this year, I posted about the holiday and new year playlists last year on LinkedIn.

Please enjoy this updated list of song videos to help us ring in 2017 (please note before posting every link worked). In case the holiday playlist, 58 songs when I blogged last week but now 66 songs after suggestions since I posted the blog), overwhelmed you, please know “Songs To Ring In The New Year” only lists 25 songs (at this writing; of course I welcome suggestions).

And I want to emphasize these lists as interactive and by no mean restricted to my relatively well-known musical preferences. (Many know how I often include references to songs, lyrics, links to songs, the performer(s) and videos in various policy posts and commentaries (See the commentaries on my website and sites such as KeepNYCFree.). ).

So please offer up your preferences with links to the songs. As curator of these playlists, I follow my preferences as to where (on the list) to insert any suggestions.

The interactivity becomes apparent as I try to promptly insert suggestions which those who visit or subscribe to the YouTube playlist get to receive instant gratification from the inclusion of their suggested tune(s).

I also posted these pieces as a youtube playlist. As I already shared my holiday playlist, why not share this new year's playlist more broadly?

So enjoy the new year, play it loud, and may you experience only and all good things, starting with this delightful and eclectic playlist.

And this appears on the first day of Chanukah and Christmas Day, wishing you accordig to your observance(s) Happy Chanukah, Merry Xmas, Happy Kwanzaa (which starts tomorrow) and happy holidays to all.

Thank you Corey once again you put a smile on my face for the holiday. And yes my daughter reminds me never leave out Festivus. Bare Naked Ladies who knew? I love listening to the songs I remember from years ago and I love all the new songs I'm learning. I wish everyone a year of peace and understanding and all the joys of the holidays. Thanks to Corey there will be music throughout the day in my house.

I like Prince's "(Party like) it's 1999. I remember waiting to play it on New Years from 1984 on and now still revel in hearing it on every subsequent New Year to recall good times of the roaring 90's.

I'll have to see where on the list to add it. Please suggest where you would insert it.
