Mom's kid Sis

Many know my deep interest in music and sports.

Well, today we celebrate seven decades for an important figure in my life who influenced and introduced me to both.

The celebration comes a few weeks later than the actual event but most of the family will be there.

Meet my Aunt Audrey. She taught Richy and I baseball when she lived with grandma and grandpa in the same garden apartment complex as us; she was barely a teen then.

She introduced us to The Beatles and our first 45s (remember them?).

She and her soon to be husband Dave took us to see the Jefferson Airplane just after I turned 12. Opening act, The Guess Who.

She was mom's kid sis back then; these days they are just very close sisters.

Happy Birthday, Audrey, with love.

Mitch, it was my 2nd. Very first was The Monkees, Lynne Randall (no one probably recalls her) and The Jimi Hendrix Experience at Forest Hills Stadium earlier that same year (1967).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Great memories---sidekicks and sisters--it's a wonderful thing :)
