No matter what is going on in your life, a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art will make it better.

Its like taking a vacation in your own back yard.

Recently voted the BEST museum in the world, finally beating out its chief competitor, the Louvre.

There is something for everyone, paintings, photography, arms & armour, Greek sculpture, and the largest collection of Egyptian art in the world. Check out the Temple of Dendur, made famous by "When Harry Met Sally."

Currently, on the roof (always visit the roof!), is a copy of the facade to the house in Psycho...

I grew up less than a mile away and went to grade school around the corner, so been visiting for about 70 years. The best was taking my first 2 granddaughters starting when they were 3. Now we reminisce and talk about going back

Never knew about the roof! While at Regis HS my son used to have Art classes IN the Met; my family is very fond of this NYC gem. It's definitely my fav museum; will add it to my summer to do list. It's been to long since I last visited and now I must check out the roof :)
