Dying to Not Vote

It always amazes me how far people will go to be against something or someone. Its a habit, a well established neural pathway and, of course, I am guilty of it myself. What a different world we would have if we could just concentrate on what we are for, what we support, rather than what we don't want.

What we resist, persists.

Here's HuffPost's Weird News:

Sometimes voting for a third-party candidate just isn’t a strong enough statement.

A Virginia woman’s obituary says that rather than vote for presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump or Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton for president, she died.

“Faced with the prospect of voting for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, Mary Anne Noland of Richmond chose, instead, to pass into the eternal love of God on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at the age of 68,” the obituary, published Tuesday in The Richmond Times-Dispatch, said.

Noland’s husband of 46 years, Jim Noland, told local news station WWBT that one of the couple’s sons wrote the opening line, and it was a tribute to his wife’s sense of humor.

I read about another person's Obit which said "In lieu of flowers please do not vote for Trump'.

In other words, she went purple.

Perhaps the deceased had a great sense of humor and this was her dying wish. :)

If she knew she was dying and it was her idea representing how she (and many of us) feel...I think it was brilliant. If it was the idea of someone else, then I agree with Corey.
