A Chance Meeting?

It is a nice bistro-style restaurant on West 44th Street where we often enjoy a pre-theatre meal. We have recommended Saju to friends and relatives.
We were a bit disappointed when we were seated there last Saturday evening. Our favorite table was taken and we were brought to a table in the room off to the side. We asked to be moved and ended up at a table along the wall in the main room.
A couple was soon seated next to us as the restaurant filled.
A few minutes later, I noticed the couple being seated one table over. “So, you don't want to sit with us?” I said to Flo’s brother.
The couple at the table between us offered to switch and we enjoyed dinner with my brother and sister-in-law.
As I think about it, it wasn't remarkable coincidence that we met them. After all, we had recommended the restaurant. But neither of us knew that the other would be there.
However, had we stayed at the table where we were first seated, we never would have seen them.
I guess it was meant to be.

I love running into people unexpectedly. That happened to us at A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. Too bad changing seats that night wasn't an option. :)

It's times like this that reinforce the belief that everything happens for a reason.

I'm not a "everything's happens for a reason" or "meant to be" believer, but I do believe in trusting your instincts and you set a great example.

If you get one more comment, myself, Nancy, you and Cayce will all have 7 comments. What's the odds of that?
