Right Before Your Eyes

Sometimes there are things that are right before your eyes, but you never notice. Or you never realize what you're looking at...or exactly what it means.

Also, you're never too old to learn something new.

That's how I felt a few months ago when I learned that the little gas pump symbol on your car's dashboard has a little arrow that tells you which side your gas cap is on. Another thing that I don't have to remember. And the little arrow was there all along.

And have you ever noticed that there's a star on the elevator button that tells you which floor is the street-level exit? Where have you been all my life?

What else am I missing?

There are signs outside of some subways stations that indicate which way is up/down town or east and west. This is a brilliant idea and wonder why there aren't more.

You don't have to be weatherman to know which way the wind's blowing
