Movements

Categories
Lifestyle

Movement is defined as an act of changing physical location or position or of having things changed. Also as a group of people working together to advance their shared political, social or artistic ideas.

In this time of great social, economic, artistic and political movements I want to protest a mostly involuntary movement which effects society as a whole.

It causes mass confusion and forces us all to change long ingrained habits and patterns.  It also causes us to lose sleep and even lose time.

I don't want to keep you in the dark any longer.  The movement which I protest is the movement of the clock forward in the Spring.

I heartedly concur. Perhaps start a petition at change.org. Shelly sums it effect her not at all. I think it takes full week to get used to it. All I know is if the clock did not get sprung, I'd not -- yet -- even have a blog to post to that appears on Friday.

I like the spring forward. Lets leave the clock there and fall back. Once I am used to the lost hour, i want to keep the longer day light that we lose in the fall.

Don't want to keep us in the dark any more ... good one. I like springing ahead!

I am for the change. There are some mornings I just do not feel like waking so I linger for a while and go back to sleep for the extra (in my head) hour.

Ok groan. Ugh . Let's toughen up folks . We are talking about ONE hour here !Arizona and Hawaii have it figured out . They sprang forward years ago and haven't looked back . Smart . I think about the 17 hour time changes I've endured my whole career. It's a state of mind y'all. Cardio and hydration is the cure all . Perhaps a sirloin for two at Peter Luger. Rare !

I'm never for losing any sleep time, but do love the longer daylight.....then again you're practically a Perm FL resident these days Fred so this 'lightness' is barely evident is your Southern homeland...

Love the longer days. . . . my favorite day of the year is the winter solstice (12/21 shortest day of the year) because next day the days slowly lengthen, bit by bit. . . . Until the summer solstice when daylight starts to shorten. . . .
