I received a Juror Qualification Questionnaire in the mail.I eyed it warily as Jury Duty, even though provided for in the Constitution, is generally regarded unfavorably.
Too many books.
Time, possibly the most valuable thing we have in this life because it is so limited. As kids, we take it for granted. The days seem long. When is our next birthday? When is spring break, then summer, then the holidays until New Years? It seems to crawl. But, as we all know, time speeds up as we age. How can 24 hours go by so fast the older we get? It is astonishing. For many, by the time you realize it, it’s likely too late.
There is something very special about New York City during holiday season. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, something in the air says holiday and special times.  The air just feels different.
My husband and myself and another couple have been planning a vacation for over a year. We will be on a catamaran travelling around Antiqua for a week. Nowhere near the luxury of the “Below Deck,” boats (Bravo fans will get the reference) but a very different and relaxing vacation nevertheless.
The first weekend of this month featured some really great live music. A request by Friday’s blogger to cover a Gotham Red Bandana Award presentation delated this report. Shelly and I enjoyed an evening of John Lennon solo and Beatles music at Town Hall on December 2.
For better or worse, AI is now part of our daily life, transforming the way we live, work, and interact. It's not just a futuristic concept from Star Trek anymore; AI is here to stay.   Smart assistants like Alexa and Google Home, powered by AI, are essentially revolutionizing home automation. They control our lights, play our favorite music, and even manage our shopping lists with simple voice commands. I wonder how many Gothamites have one and how often they use it...
Every morning I swim at the local pool at 6:00 am and one must arrive early to get a good lane.  Thus, we begin lining up, huddled in the cold, at about 5:40 and there is a regular crew of swimmers (special are the ladies who regularly swim in lanes 2, 3 and 6) and gym rats (pictured).
