The New York Times ran an interesting interview last week with Paula Broadwell. Perhaps the name sounds familiar but you can’t quite place the face? She is the woman who had a romantic relationship with General David Petraeus. When the nature of the relationship was revealed, and the nature of the sensitive information he shared with her, he resigned his position as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Currently, he is a partner at Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts, & Co., serving as the chairman of the KKR Global Institute.

Poop is now officially the big topic in Spain...In Torrelodones, Spain they installed a giant inflatable poop in order to discourage dog owners from abandoning their pets' excrement in the streets.   The town of Torrelodones shared photos of the inflatable poop and encouraged residents to share photos of the massive message to dog owners with the hashtag #nomascacas as a way to promote this through social media.
I was taught that little things mean a lot and I respect that verity.  I know someone who has 2 friends with whom he makes a point to check in (text) with on a regular basis.  One is a high school classmate who is progressing nicely following an "episode" and another is a club friend who is recovering well from abdominal surgery.  He feels he is helping their progress in his small way and, truth be told, he tells me it gratifies him greatly in a very real way.
The clouds were threatening and were moving towards us last Sunday afternoon. We stopped at a wine and cheese store in Stockbridge as the drizzle turned to a downpour. Wet, but safely inside as the skies opened. The rain was torrential. The report later was 3 inches in less than an hour. Roads flooded.
June 1. Just another day in the calendar? Summer has begun. Heat up your brain and heart. Every day we have the opportunity for kindness and acheivement. Use this day wisely.
With Memorial Day now past, summer is around the corner.
It happened on Saturday. We were on our friend’s boat watching The Blue Angel’s airshow. The sky was clear blue and the weather on the water was incredible. There was the subtlest breeze so it wasn’t too hot or too cold. And the airshow was astounding. Surrounded by family and friends I couldn’t help but look around and think, “What a perfect moment. I am so lucky to be here.”
