After 12 years in Chelsea, I am downsizing physically and fiscally, so that my business can expand creatively.
It continues to amaze me in how tiny a footprint I can run my life. I am made for Manhattan living and working. My current office is 10x17, my new office is 7x7.
If you missed it today, I hope you will put our golf outing on your calendar for next year. It was a terrific day filled with good friends, new friends, great food and amazing weather. OK, it was a little warm, but the sun was shining all day and the club could not have been more accommodating.
A close friend of our family got engaged Friday afternoon. How did we find out? Within minutes of her engagement, pictures of her hand wearing her new ring went up on Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook etc. Moments later, as I sat at my desk with a client, my phone started exploding with text messages from my family and other close friends telling me that Beth was engaged.
By the time this commentary appears on the Gotham (City Networking, Inc. ®) website, Shelly and I arrived back from Mystic, CT to our home aptly named “Grand Junction” by Marisa who gave our home that “nom de 'net” on FourSquare.

Or is it?After 22 Big League seasons during which he struck 696 home runs while failing two performance enhancing drug tests Alex Rodriguez is a complicated, untruthful tarnished star with a still huge Yankee contract guaranteed through 2017. In an emotional press conference last Sunday A Rod spoke the Yankee party line and "retired". Based on his history I do not believe him. My gut tells me we have not seen the last of him as an aging 41 year old player.
Anyone who vacations on Martha's Vineyard when the President is there has a story to tell. Here's mine. Last Sunday, we were walking down Main Street in Edgartown and I saw a black shoulder bag on a bench in front of the liquor store. I poked my head inside the store to let the clerk know about the bag. He told me that he knew about it, but didn't want to touch it since President Obama was having dinner at the restaurant next door. The clerk was waiting for a policeman.
