Had an opportunity to take in a Mets game at Citi Field last week; the choices were Tuesday or yesterday.  I thought it better as I continue to recover following my hip replacement to give myself more time including two session of physical therapy; we attended yesterday and the debut of the Mets #1 pitching prospect, Nolan McLean.  It was also Juan Soto bobblehead night so someone's grandson will be rather happy as an extra Soto bobblehead was procured.
It’s something we do about 25,000 times a day without even thinking. It keeps us alive, but it can also be one of the most powerful tools we have for reducing stress, sharpening focus, and improving overall well-being.
When I was young, I remember sitting up close to our (small screen, black and white) Dumont television bearing witness to "Mr. Television", Milton Berle ("Uncle Miltie"), birthing modern communications.  And since then we have progressed so far: color TV, fax machines, the Internet, computers, cell phones, FaceTime and all the rest.

Sometimes you have the best laid out plans for an eventful few days off and sometimes things change. This past weekend, my family planned a brief trip to NY to celebrate my stepdaughter Ashley’s engagement party. With my Gotham Queens Group meeting live this month, I had asked if it was OK to move the meeting to the next day (Friday) to accommodate my travel plans. All went as planned. Then there was confusion on the date. Members who said they would be there couldn’t.
It’s that time again. Time for you to share with me your favorite recent reads.   Around this time of year, I am always yearning for a good read. To me, it takes that wonderful slow end of summer and prolongs that feeling just a little bit longer.
Last Wednesday was one of those nights that just remind us how special Gotham truly is. It was the annual Gotham Summer Quintuple Meeting held at Westbury Manor on Long Island.   The best description for me would be that the evening was filled with longtime friends happy to see one another. It took me over a half hour to just make it into the main room as there were so many people that I was happy to see just by the entrance.
