My Fitness Age

Categories
Health

Following up on last Friday's Three Stages of Life blog, I was pleased to learn that, by one standard of measurement, all my hard work seems to have paid off.

I was reading last week's Science Times and there was an article about Senior Olympians who had been tested for their "fitness age".  The article referenced a web site: worldfitnesslevel.org.  (Try it you might like it. :))

Of course, I immediately went on the site and answered all of the comprehensive questions and BINGO, I'm 44 again!  Pretty great (whether or not it's scientifically accurate)!

I'd put you at 29...
and then there's our emotional age, I'm not sure I'd like to see that questionnaire!

will have to test another time; lack key info (unless that info matters not at all)

At my last physical, my doctor's advice was "Make young friends; because if you continue this way, you're going to live a long time". Works for me!

49...Me thinks me waistline caused you to beat me (Popeye speaking) ...I'm one tough Gazookus Which hates all Palookas Wot ain't on the up and the square. I biffs 'em and buffs 'em and always out roughs 'em but none of 'em gets nowhere...Occasional beer bloats me and inflates my waistline. 3 fingers of Bulleit rye EVERY night. It's Marianne's Burgundy Cherry ice cream. Too much sugar in my daily Moschetti decaf. I hate crunches and core work. Now hear this Popeye... 17 inch biceps bigger than our gay friend from Quogue. Curls for the girls in the summer. Oh by the way she's putting in her earplugs and going to bed to READ ! Now hear this ..READ ! But my baby girl Kona will lie next to me on my pillow and soothe me to sleep with her gentle breathing.

I am a wee bit younger that you, Fred, but then I am a wee bit younger than you! This test might not be accurate but it was certainly good for my ego! My wish is that we all enjoy good health for many decades to come!
