Overposters

Categories

We discussed an interesting topic over the dinner table this weekend, overposters. You know the type;  you read their Facebook status and cringe from the amount of personal information they’ve shared. Recent posts that seemed, to me, to contain too much personal information included, “Going to take a bubble bath, hoping hubby surprises me” and “Incredibly hung over from the overabundance of alcohol I drank last night.” And while one would like to think these posts may have come from kids, they did not. Both posts and more like them were from people whom are my age or older.

I tell my kids all the time, do not put something up on the internet that you do not want to share with everyone you know. One would think that these adults would already know that. From reading their Facebook posts, I don't think so

Do you know overposters?

Yes. Some are very nice people. I suspect FB loves them. Let's also differentiate "overposters" from "frequent posters".
As an aside, Shelly resolved to just post on the weekends (I presume unless something of merit occurs during the week.

Like Riva I hide or unfriend...angers me when these 'overposters' are adults in my family! But hubby would say I'm guilty of 'overposting'...so I guess it's all in the point of view...

Since I'm a mood poster not a daily poster , except on my trip to Alaska, I don't notice overposters. Sometimes it's nice to know where someone ate or what show they saw.
