ER or How I spent a lovely Spring Evening

She was walking to work and fell in a pothole. Corey, who do we go after for this? So now we're in the ER, waiting for X-ray results or maybe some pain meds. At least we're not in Nepal. Or Baltimore. Acts of injustice done between the setting and the rising sun in history lie like bones, each one. -W H Auden

What do they say in the theater? I hope it does not apply!

One time I was walking while staring at my cell phone. I tripped over those short fences around a tree, and fell into it. The whole thing happened in slow motion because I walking so slowly. Ironically, I was staring at Maps trying to find out which way to go! I should've really been looking where I was going. Those little fences don't work.

It was her wrist, not her leg, but they think no fracture...they'll know in a week when the swelling subsides.

My sweetheart wasn't on her phone and was very alert but those damn potholes sneak up on you...

There is a ridiculous rule passed early during the Koch administration that requires the City to have notice of potholes before someone can sue. This was targeting drivers who sued. Plaintiff's lawyers banded together to create a service to document potholes so they can sue the city.
People should call 311 to report potholes and follow up with their local community board and council member.
Hope not serious.
