During a recent visit to the ophthalmologist, he noted that this was a particularly difficult time of year for people whose eyesight is sensitive to the sun. The angle of the sun as it aligns with earth makes the sunlight more intense.
I notice this every year at home. The sunlight reaches deep into the room. Plants relishing direct sunlight are in their prime while those needing shade need to be moved to safety.
And I think about our planet circling the sun and the forces — gravitational pulls — that cause the sunlight to reach deep into the room.
