Aches and Pains

We all experience bodily aches and pains, as part of the Human condition, and they do not improve as we age.

Let's just say that at my age I am experiencing my share, if not more! You learn to live with it, as if you have a choice.

But then the weather deals an unanticipated  curve ball which throws your practiced tolerance into a "cocked hat" (completely defeat or ruin something)!

As I have learned, the hard way, weather change can have a significant effect on your body.  When it rains, barometric pressure drops causing significant pressure on the body.  So much so that some can "feel" a storm coming.

Storm?  Yes, we experienced one this past weekend as a Nor'easter passed over Long Island and wreaked havoc on me and my already not so good joints and such.

On a scale of 10, my discomfort was 9 and the least uncomfortable sleeping position was sitting in a chair.

Things are somewhat better now, but I think back on all I did or could not have done over my life and conclude, again, Youth is wasted on the young!

Savor what you have, be in the now and don't complain!

My severe chronic spine & hip pain of the past dozen years oddly remains completely unaffected by barometric pressure or any other weather function (I've actually paid considerable attention to this, as it baffles my doctors). Go figure....

My wife suffers miserably with severe sinus headaches when the rain is nearing. She has some meds that helps if she can feel it coming on, but risky surgery may be the answer that she contemplates. Sorry to hear of your increased pain.
