Yom Kippur

Yom Kippur

Today is Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur is a day of reflection, forgiveness, and looking honestly at the year behind us while hoping to do better in the year ahead. It is a time to ask forgiveness from others, forgive ourselves, and make amends where we can.

Of course, it is also the one day when saying, “I’m starving,” becomes practically a religious tradition. It’s ironic to me that I can go without eating without giving it a thought. Yet, on Yom Kippur, the fact that I am fasting is always in the forefront of my mind.

If you celebrate, may Yom Kippur bring you peace, forgiveness, and a renewed commitment to be a little kinder and a little wiser.

Yom Kippur is a Day to forgive yourself and others who were a part of your life over the last year. It is also a Day to look ahead and say I will be better in the year ahead, I will learn from my transgressions, i will shiw more compassion and love and respect for other people, animals, and things.
I will be open to learning and wisdom...
