Is College Worth it Anymore

At eighteen years old, people are asked to make one of the most expensive decisions of their lives. Choose a school, choose a major, borrow the money, and trust it will pay off.

For decades, college was treated as the safest path to success. Today, I'm not so sure.

In many cases, I don't think college is worth it. Spending four years and tens of thousands of dollars without a clear plan can leave graduates behind peers who entered a trade and built experience or maybe got involved with specialized training.

But I think writing off college completely is just as foolish. Some careers still require degrees, and the right program can provide valuable skills, connections, and opportunities.

The real problem is the assumption that college is the best choice for everyone... and it clearly isn't.
