A Healthy Bull Pucky Detector
As a kid, I was taught not to believe everything I read. These days we can’t even believe everything we see! Photoshop and deepfakes are real!
If something challenges my thinking, I verify. If it lines up perfectly with what I already believe, I verify that too.
I rely on facts and evidence. Facts can be verified. Evidence supports the assertion. Together, they’re my pause button before I buy into any claim. This process has served me well as a lawyer, in life, and now as I focus on nutrition and smart supplementation.
I want to know: Who said it? How do they know? Is there proof, or is it a bold assertion stated with bluster to sound convincing?
My rule is simple: ask questions, check the source, and don’t let a catchy headline do the thinking for me.
Healthy skepticism, facts, and evidence make a solid “bull pucky detector," and these days, that’s a valuable tool to have.
How do you know what’s real?

Not always easy to tell what is real. Research is key. That inner voice helps too.

But you’re a good sport when presented with the facts. ;)
I'm not as interested in…
I'm not as interested in what's "real" and more interested in what's the intention. I assume everything is a combination of real and fake. The more interesting questions to me are what is trying to be accomplished? What message is trying to be sent?
