This week is the first time a made a trip back to NY since my neck surgery back in November. It was interesting once again to be up at 3:00AM and get whisked to the Orlando airport by my wife to catch a 6:00AM flight. All went well with the flight, my car was waiting for me at the rental agent, and I was on my way to the Belt Parkway (no fun) and off to LI. 

Meeting with an old friend and colleague that became a partner at a Sharp dealership many years ago where I plan to offer their products in my new role as an Office Technology Consultant was great. I have plans to meet with other dealers and work on their products as well. It was refreshing to sit and talk about numbers, strategies, product lines and meet all the great people that work there. I was given a desk to hang my hat on when in town. It was strange calling potential clients, but I got back into the swing of things, like riding a bike. 

Later, I met up with the LI Dinner group and met some amazing people that were both welcoming and informative. Thank you, Norm Spizz, for the beer and to Crysti and Shawn for letting me hang at the table for a three-hour interactive conversation among the members and guests. I was saddened to hear about the unexpected passing of fellow Queens member Craig Shink who led a wonderful and charitable life with his ongoing affiliation with the Order Knights of Pythias to the end. Funeral is planned for this Friday.

I look forward to meeting up with Gotham Queens in person this Thursday the 12th at 8:30AM at the North Shore Towers Diner. I guess my timing to NY was good in that I brought some beautiful weather while I was here.
