Childhood was a magical time filled with endless possibilities, imaginative wonder, and a bunch of innocent misconceptions. For instance, I thought that all the smokestacks I noticed were cloud makers (maybe they are:)

Another one involved traffic. I believed that all traffic jams were caused by one person driving really slowly in front and I always wanted my Dad to drive faster to catch up to that person.

I knew Santa wasn't true but I did believe in the tooth fairy at a certain age. How did she know when a tooth was under the pillow?

Or how about "Step on a crack, break your mother's back" (that was before Devo sang it:) I would hop, skip, and leap over sidewalk cracks, terrified of the consequences.

Even though we now know the truth, these beliefs remind us of our younger selves' innocent and wild imaginations.

Only smokestacks survived LA fires!

Innocence of youth. We all need some more of that. I see it in my puppy Luna everyday..
