Books
Too many books. Or, perhaps, no room for all the books.
We have many books and not enough bookshelves.
And as we consider our books, we ask many questions:
Do we need them all?
Will we ever read them all?
Where did they all come from?
And, we face the dilemma of what to do with the books we no longer wish to keep.
We have found that libraries are no longer taking books and used book stores aren’t as obliging as in the past.
We have found one bookstore that will take only a few books at a time on only certain days. They distribute them to local school libraries.
We are thankful for this one outlet and are looking for others.

As of us, we culled out most of our books, but yes, sometimes it is hard because a certain book will bring back powerful memories. Stewart and I, when I lived in Texas and he was here in NY, would read books "together" and then discuss them. I would write the date we read them on the inside cover. They were usually historical in nature, some biographical, some novels. Those were keepers for the most part! Issac's Storm was one of those and a great read about a turn of the century hurricane that wiped out Galveston Island in Texas and the light house / meteriologist who was tracking the storm, if you are interested.
