Lessons from a Concert

We attended the Winter concert of the National Children’s Chorus.
Our seven-year-old grandson, who recently found his voice and has been rehearsing with the chorus for a few months, was our reason to make the trip to the City for the performance.
In addition to witnessing his first performance, we watched the more-advanced performers.
And what impressed me was the camaraderie of the chorus members. The older members cheered encouragement to those younger and the younger ones watched as their elders demonstrated the vocal skills that were only a few years of practice ahead.
It struck me as the perfect way to inspire and teach.

One of my most memorable college experiences was Summer ending University Chorus recital!

Nice to see the youg following in the footsteps of the older participants.

Those with experience should always mentor the newbies, while those able to learn (at any age) deserve the attention of all others. To Mentor is to be a Gothamite. We are meant to Mentor.
PS To Fred Klein: This is the "other" Best Thing We Do.
