This past weekend we had the pleasure of hosting the birthday of the century, literally!  It was a ton of family from near and far as well as a smattering of great friends who gathered to honor an amazing woman, Stewart’s mom and my self proclaimed replacement mom. The comments of the party goers following the day warmed our hearts.

I have said on numerous occasions that there is no way I want to live to be 100, but the choice isn’t really mine to make.  

End of the story, if you asked Irene for her life’s philosophy she would like say….”When life gives you lemons, just throw them into you glass of Jack Daniels and drink up!”
