Water

On Sunday morning I was awakened ultra early by a call from a friend alerting me that the water had been turned off in my neighborhood and advising I buy bottled water.

It got me thinking about water, our most taken for granted natural resource.
Pictured are some of the ways water benefits our body. Let's just say we can't live without it.

And because we can't live without it there was an immediate run on bottled water and soon the shelves were bare.

And soon I was boiling water for such necessities as brushing our teeth, washing and even for the dog bowl.

Wow! Talk about taking something for granted!

And the temporary solution is more pollution . I wonder where all those bottles went after the water was used. So sad ...

First thing you need to do is fill you tub (if you have one). Water is our most precious commodity- so often taken for granted….. until it’s not available. I believe you wrote about that not long ago as well.

We keep 2 pitchers of filtered water in the kitchen at all times (Zero Water, which comes with a tester for contaminants), Judy is right about filling the tub - for flushing the toilet. Water is the new Oil, don't waste it and always work to preserve the places it comes from.

And the most important of which is {IMO} is for the dog! Musha agrees with me too!

Water is life! Natural rainwater trapping is the near future. These now common floods can yield 580 gallons of water per 1000 square foot roof. Tons of water instead of no water. IMO all flat roofs will have either solar, gardens or rainwater trapping for a greener earth! Happy St. Patrick's Day Gotham!

The future is dependent on desalination treatment.

From another perspective, water carries qualities we might admire. It is humble, being stirred by wind while also tenacious and persistent, able to wear-away the hardest of stone, drop by drop.

Many science fiction masterpieces were written about the loss of water, i.e. Dune

Speaking of, I support https://www.charitywater.org who are making clean water available across this little planet of ours. Women in particular are affected as they are most often the ones making the walks that are hours & miles long. World water day is March 22.

I filterr my water so not as much need for bottles, even if more convenient. Too much waste. I like using the Zero Water System.
