My Doctor Visit

I’ve had a cold for too long. Complication is that my doctor is a thousand miles away.  


After exchanging a number of texts he suggested we have a “Telehealth visit”, so he could see me “face to face and make a plan of action.”

And Telehealth visit we did and after a variety of questions and answers he even asked me to cough. It was an amazing virtual “hands on” experience and he then electronically prescribed medication for me at my nearby local pharmacy.  

My “visit” was so efficient, reassuring and “real”!

All I can say is that if we live long enough we will experience many many more new things under the sun!

Your doctor is very savvy indeed. Telehealth became very popular during the pandemic. And why not. It makes perfect sense…. We have the technology. I hope he cured you :)

I had a virtual health visit as well, the last time I was sick, but it was not with my regular doctor. I was happy at the time to have it, but was later prescribed different meds when my cold and ear clog got worse. My regular doctor even questioned what had been previously prescribed by the virtual one. So unless you get your actual doctor on the screen, I would pass on the experience myself.

Not all policies include telehealth and some non traditional policies charge extra premium per month for it. Something to check when renewing and/or changing your health insurance plan! Happy Friday!

I just have Scotty beam me up to the doctor. He examines me, prescribes medicine and then Scotty beams me back. Get with it Fred. You’re behind the times.

Yeah. But What's with that "cold"? What was the diagnosis? What is the medication? When can we see you all perky again?

I hope you are feeling better ~ those telehealth visits are so convenient My last one was disappointing though ~ it turned out to be a tele"phone" call and not a tele"view". Strange, but it still saved me from a trip downtown! Stay well and warm ~ it's freezing up here!

Definitely like the convenience of telehealth for some things. Feel better quickly, Fred. Hope you are in FL and not here in NY where it is freezing today.
