Small world

So I am speaking to my friend Jeff discussing plans for later in day for him and where I would be heading next.  He mentions going to his son in the same town where I am earlier heading to see Shelly's niece.  On the way my wife texts her niece and she believes she and husband met Jeff and his wife at holiday services.  Further it turns out Jeff's granddaughter and my grandniece do cheerleading together and hung out together and each other's houses on two successive days last week.  So obviously our niece and her husband know's Jeff's son and his wife.

After I reach my niece's home. I text Jeff that the girls know each other and that he knows my niece and nephew.

He replies, "small world."

Sure is.

I see many instances where someone I meet or talk with knows a person from my past, be it personal or business. It is a small world after all.

I always say be kind when discussing others. You never know who knows who. . .

Thanks for sharing. Your example seems both synchronous and serendipitous. So there is great merit to the wisdom of two degrees of separation.
