A Play That Digs Deep

“Cost of Living”, the 2018 Pulitzer winning play, has finally made its Broadway debut.  Martyna Majok’s play has been performed in theaters all over the USA.  It has touched audiences with its realistic exploration of life’s challenges.  The four character play delves into intimacy and dependency in a fresh manner.  Two of the characters are physically disabled and are in need of  home health care to function.  The caregivers are forced to consider the impact of their work on the relationships.

Another theme of “Cost of Living” is the class struggle of contemporary American life.  The challenges of making a living and having the “right” pedigree is surprisingly revealed.  The play runs for one hour and 45 minutes without an intermission.  It keeps the audience on the edge of their seats and makes for an unforgettable experience.

The play runs only through October 31 at the Manhattan Theater Club and is a mask mandatory show.

Sounds very meaningful. Not going to the theater yet but appreciate being kept up to date. Actually, just reserved an ebook of the play from the library.
