Polls

We always hear about polls. And with Election Day looming, we will be hearing about polls more and more. The polls will warn us, try to motivate us and, ultimately tell us how and why the vote went the way it did.
Every day or so I receive an email, text message, or phone call asking me a polling question or to participate in a poll. So far I haven’t responded.
If I don’t respond, who does ?
My reaction to these invitations to be counted in a poll, makes me wonder.

I never even receive an invitation...

I don't respond. My years in politics taught me to ignore them. There used to be some real quality pollsters I trusted, now I see mostly political hacks. I also don't like sharing information that will generate more emails, texts, and junk mail.

Most of these emails and text messages are from bots designed to get your information and political affiliation. Once they have that, they bombard you with donation requests. Avoid like the plague.
