We had a very interesting discussion in my Weight Watchers meeting recently. The topic was self esteem and our tendency to focus on our perceived negatives in ourselves.   For example, most people could probably more easily answer the question, “What are you lacking?” rather than “What are your strengthens?”

So we were asked to answer the questions, “What quality makes you unique? What do you like about yourself?” The answer that quickly came into my mind was my ability to empathize with others. My college roommates, who have known  me forever, call me an empath.
