A client recently commented on a coaster I had on my desk. It was an item my youngest daughter had made for in nursery school.  She was given a small tray and inserted small ceramic tiles in it, using some sort of paste.

I have kept that coaster on my desk since she gave it to me, over twenty  years ago. I use it everyday for my coffee or water.  Yet, it was not until my client commented on it that I was reminded how special and irreplaceable it truly is.

Do you have a treasured item from a loved one?

My Grandma Anna's scissor! She was a seamstress dressmaker in the garment industry for Maggie London and Diane Von Furstenberg. No scissor cuts quite like it. Every week I smile when cutting my column out of the paper. Wishing you all both: A. A Happy Labor Day! and B. A Happy National Cheese Pizza Day, September 5th!
